Taylor & Jordan

I met Taylor many years back! She was my best friend’s “sister” from dance and quickly became a sweet family friend. I’ve always admired her strong work ethic, beauty, humor, and ability to speak her mind, regardless of what others might think.

Through a series of events, she ended up in Lynchburg for her birthday weekend. Jordan, who played for the Lynchburg Hillcats, hadn’t planned on going out that night. Thankfully, some of his friends convinced him. When he saw Taylor as he entered the room, he couldn’t help but think that she was the most beautiful girl in the room.

A couple days later, Taylor texted her best friend, Allison, mentioning that she met a guy… a REALLY tall one who plays baseball and loves Jesus. Allison replied, “baseball and Jesus?? LOCK IT DOWN!” And that’s exactly what they did! Jordan proposed to Taylor in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Walt Disney World, starting the beginning of their fairy tale.

I reached out to Taylor and expressed interest in being their wedding planner & coordinator. I had shadowed a few weddings up to this point and felt like it was time to take the lead on my own. They both thought it was a great idea! On the months leading up to the wedding, I worked with them to craft a picture perfect wedding. Taylor and Jordan got married on a beautiful November afternoon in Roanoke, Virginia at Braeloch on Glenburn Farms and it was one of the prettiest weddings that I’ve ever been to (and I’ve gone to a lot!).

I will be forever grateful for this couple who took a chance on me and allowed me to be a part of their big day. I enjoyed getting to know and serve them and their families on the most important day of their lives. Their love for each other is undeniable and their happiness is infectious. I’m so sad to see these two move to Minnesota (and potentially around the US for Jordan’s baseball career)! Jordan and Taylor, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! Don’t forget to come back to Virginia to visit every once in a while!
