Spring Break Recap

Last week was any college student’s favorite week of the semester, SPRING BREAK! After midterms are over, it’s time to finally have some time to sit back and relax. While a lot of my friends went to places where there was clear water and came back with sun-kissed skin, I got to go back to my hometown in Roanoke, Virginia!

I spent the first part of the week working at the local ice cream parlor! I have worked there since my junior year in high school. My coworkers and boss have become some of my closest friends at home! I loved having the opportunity to catch up with what’s going on in their lives (and, of course, eating some ice cream too)!

Constantly on the go at school, I rarely get a chance to actually pause and take time to rest. I never get a chance to sit down and watch my favorite Netflix or reality TV shows! Thankfully, I was able to get some rest this past week! I got to sleep in almost every morning, catch up on my TLC wedding shows, and watch “the most dramatic episode of the bachelor.” (PS. I’m still don’t know how to feel about the whole Colton and Cassie thing…)

Although the activities I’ve listed above were some really good things to do over break, my favorite thing that I was able to do was spend time with my family and friends. My parents go on a weekly lunch date and invited me to go with them to the Mexican restaurant one day. I went to the mall with my mom and shooting range (for the first time) with my dad. My sister, Reagan, and I got our nails done. I watched her softball scrimmage. Finishing off the week with some quality time with my boyfriend, Caleb, when he came to visit me!

Compared to other people’s spring break, it might not have seemed like mine was as glamourous. However, I’d beg to differ! I feel so rested, energized, and ready to start the second half of the semester after my super fun spring break!
